What Are Panoramic X-Rays?
A Complete View of Your Smile from Your Cambridge Dentist
Panoramic X-rays are advanced dental images that capture a broad view of the entire mouth, including the teeth, jawbone, sinuses, and surrounding oral structures, in a single image. Unlike traditional dental X-rays that focus on smaller areas, panoramic imaging allows Dr. Jeffrey Greenberg to evaluate overall oral health and identify concerns that may not be visible during a routine examination. At Sweet Spot Dental, panoramic X-rays are used to support accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, and long-term oral health monitoring.
As a trusted Cambridge Dentist, our team uses modern dental technology to improve patient care, comfort, and communication throughout every visit. Panoramic imaging can help identify impacted teeth, jaw concerns, bone abnormalities, infections, and other conditions while allowing patients to better understand their oral health needs.

Why Might Panoramic X-Rays Be Needed?
Panoramic X-rays provide a comprehensive view of the mouth and jaw to help identify and monitor a wide range of dental concerns.
- Evaluate overall oral and jaw health.
- Identify impacted or developing teeth.
- Detect infections, bone loss, or abnormalities.
- Support detailed treatment planning.
What Happens During the Panoramic X-Ray Process?
Cambridge Dentist Committed to Your Smile
During the panoramic X-ray process, patients stand or sit comfortably while the imaging machine moves around the head to capture a complete image of the mouth and surrounding structures. The process is quick, noninvasive, and designed to provide detailed images without causing discomfort.
Once the images are complete, Dr. Jeffrey Greenberg will review the results and discuss any findings with you. Panoramic X-rays may be recommended during preventive visits, orthodontic evaluations, wisdom tooth assessments, implant planning, or when investigating jaw pain or other oral health concerns.
